来访的创新者

Since the Bryan Lab's opening in 2013

The Bryan 创新实验室’s 来访的创新者 program brings real-world experts to Steward’s campus and provides educational opportunities for our students and families that they would likely not have anywhere else.

The program proudly features national and local experts who are leading thinkers and change-makers in their fields. 在校园里, 这些创新者帮助学生, 教师, and the Richmond community develop a deeper understanding of world issues. 来访的创新者 share their expertise in a variety of ways that highlight thinking “outside the box” — speaking to our students, working with classes on relevant issues, making presentations that are open to the Richmond community, and conducting workshops for families. We often maintain long-term relationships with previous 来访的创新者, as they continue to make strides advancing their missions to empower others to make the world a better place.

2023 访问ing Innovator - 凯文DeBruin

On March 29, 2023, 管家学校 welcomed 访问ing Innovator 凯文DeBruin. Mr. DeBruin met with students in all divisions throughout the School day in the Bryan 创新实验室 to talk about his experiences as a space science educator, 前NASA工程师, 和前美国忍者战士.

较低的学校ers collaborated in a “city of the future” activity with Mr. DeBruin, and Middle/上学校 students engaged in small-group breakout sessions. Mr. DeBruin and additional invited guest innovators led these sessions, each based on the theme of “The Future Of…,” which touched on a variety of subjects, 包括科技, 金融, 音乐, 艺术, 和医学.

Mr. DeBruin also gave a keynote address in the Bryan 创新实验室. In his talk, “The Future of Space Exploration,” Mr. DeBruin shared what is new and exciting in space science; the rewards and challenges of space missions; and the 灵感 behind his two books, including his most recent publication, “勇敢面对强大的事物.”
